I am in the process of putting together a compilation album for the 1st
time. It will be all the same artist with tracks from different
sources.
Is there a simple way w MP3Tag to level the volume of all tracks ?

If all the tracks are by themselves in the same folder then you just
treat it like any other album. Use whatever program you would normally
use to add ReplayGain album and track values.

Was wondering if anyone uses multiple artist tags when tagging an album
that is credited to more than one artist. For example I have an album
"Gateway" on the ECM label that is credited to "John Abercrombie, Dave
Holland, Jack DeJohnette" on the album cover and spine. Other John
