The BPM for a FLAC or MP3 file of the same track would be identical - BPM is determined solely by the music, not by the encoding. Mixmeister is reasonably accurate when calculating BPMs, but by no means perfect - it seems to struggle with some genres (e.g. drum and bass) and be warned, it can cor

Hey Erland I started to write some code to extract the custom field BPM from the database with Custom Scan as part of a playaround with SugarCube. The idea being that I could use the MIP results and then pull out the related BPM and then pick the track that had the nearest BPM to the seed track.
