And if it is what you want, I recommend writing the analysis information to tags on your audio files. That way you don't have to do the analysis over again if your MusicIP database gets trashed. The information will just go with the files wherever they go. -- aubuti

A seconder for Music IP (MIP). Then when that's going, add the Spicefly plugin (http://spicefly.com/content/category/5/16/32/). The MIP software can be downloaded via the Spicefly site. I run the GUI on my server and just minimise it rather than fiddle with the 'headless' version. As Abuti said,

MusicIP is still supported in the sense that it still works, even though the company that developed it was bought out. It's the best I've found for playlist creation, and works great with Squeezeboxes. Some people find it a hassle to set up, and it can take forever to analyze your library, but I t
