I really can't find a solution to have albums sorted to the bottom of
the regular album releases. For instance, I have added the date for a
bootleg (the recording date) but try to have it sorted to the end of the
list with official releases. Is this possible? I don't want to scroll
though the boot
It sounds as if you are searching with the artist field. You could use
the artist field and name official releases for example "The Band" for
the album Music From Big Pink. Then name bootlegs "The Band bootlegs"
for The Lonestar Cafe 1986 for that show. In this way they will show as
a separate art
You could give your bootlegs ALBUM tags that start with a character that
sorts after numbers and letters, for instance:
-The Lonestar Cafe 1986
This is easy to do in Mp3tag by using the "Tag - Tag" converter button
with these values:
Field: ALBUM
Format string: -%ALBUM%

The trick to precede the real name with chars that sort last would work

I used to do something similar with years to handle boots. I would add
1000 years to the years. Using Original Year, I don't think will help
you as I think sorting by year fixes on the Year tag only. It was
fairly easy to deal with since I didn't really care that the year tag
was right. It kep
