Hello Pedro,
I have started a document describing mu way of building Rivendell on Ubuntu
12.04, here I use the default Unity interface but I think there will be no
problem if you're using KDE.
The instalation considers I'm using an ALSA compatible sound card and we'll
have jackd to interface with
If you've never built it before, then I am guessing that you're probably
running the Tryphon packages / .debs for Ubuntu / Debian.
It might be easier to wait for new packages with the new version to be
released.
Unless you want to update to the new version right away, in which case
your option is
Note that we're only mirroring that doc in case the original ever goes
down. You can find the orignal from The Voice Asia here:

Wayne, the author, is on this list, so he may be able to speak to the
documents continued accuracy.
Take a look here. It says it's for ubuntu 11.04 but most likely it will
work on 12.04 as well.

There is no executable, you downloaded the raw source code. You have to
actually compile the code in order to make and install the executables.

I rephrase my previous question:
after unzipping I see lot of folders&files.
On Ardour, to install it, I just had to click on the install.sh file and the
console pops up
asking for the password and the installation process procedes
Clicking on the same name file on Rivendell does nothing...
Can anyone explain me HOW TO update my installation? I see a TAR.GZ2 file on
the website download library
but can't find a suitable way after searching the internet to act on it.
So, can anyone explain that here?
Thanks in advance.
