This is a fresh Appliance (V2.5) install. When RDalsaconfig is set to
the 66 as the only available card, it shows up in "resources" and in
both airplay and library the meters move, but no sound. When

Do you have /var/snd owned by the riv user and group? Are the
permissions set there too? You can do the temp test of chmod +777 but
you should look into restricting it once you get going (only really need
ug+rw)

I let rivendell set up mysql which it did and the daemons are running ok
also ripcd does not work I wanted to rip a music cd and put it into
carts The carts are set as music carts
