one of these and with the independent omnia processing we can make our
stream sound just as good if not better than our terrestrial broadcast.

Cheaper is not always better !
Depends on how secure you want it to be ?
An off-site is about as reliable as one can get. ( USB
Looking to build a stream box to stream my 3 stations to an icecast server,
two stations will need multiple streams at different bitrates.
I currently have two computers running samcast. Need to add the third
station and would rather replace the two computers with one rather than add
a third.

I have 2 4TB HDD backing up /var/snd in rotation, when music etc is
added/changed two backups are created. One stays at site, one is kept
remotely.

What is the most cost effective way to back up?
Bootable DVD of the central system plus rent-a-cloud for the library?

The thing is, there will always be the chance ( as happened to me ) where even
if your backup is 15 minutes old, something can be lost that needs to be
recovered.
Even so, recoverin

It was under “Switchers GPIO”. The GPI pin I’m trying to use is not one which
is being used by rdairplay.

Morten,
I work for a radio group that is using a closed source automation system
and our jocks were trying the same thing, but the log would just skip
over the voicetrack and keep going. I brought the problem up to the
manager and he asked why the jock wasn't doing it live, instead of

Hi.
I've discovered this problem as long as I've used Rivendell, so I guess
it's not a bug, but a "feature" that should be changed?
It happens when you're voicetracking in RDlogedit, in the log currently
playing in RDairplay: If you hit save so the log is refreshing at the same
time RDairplay ski
Hi Keith
Have you defined the start/stop macro's under the Switchers GPIO section
