ntpd is pretty good, by default it will drift the time forwards or backwards to keep it in synch rather than having a hard cut over (e.g. a given set of seconds become slightly longer or shorter). As such leap seconds etc usually take care of themselves. Wayne Merricks The Voice Asia On 22/06
