I've been doing something like that for World Classical Network since
2007. At one point there were as many as 14 stations (currently just 4)
running the same music but different local content. Each station has a
Rivendell box with a copy of the music library; the voice tracks are

Why not just link all the stations together with one Rivendell database/snd
library? Use Syncthing to sync /var/snd between the locations. For database,
you can use GTID and circular replication in MariaDB to have full read/write
masters at every station. AND keep them in sync. I am currentl

Chester,
Not sure about SIP but I wouldn't be surprised it it's possible, it is kind
of a swiss army knife.
I use it to send to Tieline Bridge-it's at three different transmitter
sites which does several things for me.
One, I don't have to buy a tieline unit for the studio.
Two, connection straight
I do something similar using jack in combination with avconv.
Here is the command line I use for mp2
avconv -f jack -ac 2 -i LABEL -acodec mp2 -b:a 256k -f rtp rtp://*ip:port*
This creates a jack plug (LABEL) for the connection, sets the codec, rate,
and the destination.
It also can support opus.
Is there any way to get audio from Rivendell to Jack or GlassCoder to a SIP
server to the Barix MA400 using the Opus Codec?
