Chuck, is cj a member of the rivendell group? If you chown cj:cj /var/snd/113000_002.wav does it work? How are you replacing the audio in 001? I had a few files which had one channel recorded low. copied the audio to a temp folder applied sox and copied the adjusted audio back the owner
