Yes, the audio also has to be uncompressed / linear audio for it to
work. But it does work.

One feature we have in AudioVault is the ability to record a cut from a

My experience is it will play the first minute and then stop

Bingo, this did resolve the issue, i just listened to the live feed in cue

I just unchecked normalize so I'll see if that works, I'm using xfs and nfs

What kind of filesystem are you using for ‘/var/snd’? It has to be one that
supports POSIX file semantics for this to work. ext2, ext3, ext4, xfs and nfs
all qualify. OTOH, if you’re using msdos, vfat,

I don't know if I misunderstood the topic... But we start a recording
from our external news provider at XX:00:00 for three minutes. But we
let the song currently playing finish, then we play the news at for
example XX:01:10. This way we "play file while recording it"

I just tried this, and I think the last time I tried this was on the
pre-version 2.x of Rivendell (1.x.x). I seem to recall it working in
the past.
I just tried it on Rivendell 2.12.0 with an m-audio D

Hey Matthew,
I don't know if someone else answered your question yet so I'll give you
what I've picked up through some other discussions.
In short, no. Rivendell currently can not play back the new version of
what is currently recording. The recording must finish completely before
it can play i
I've noticed that Rivendell plays back the previous hours recording of our

minutes before the legal ID and toh news plays. Is there a way to have

Hello,
I’m told that Rivendell can begin playback while still recording, straight out
of the box.
However I have been unable to get this to work.
Is there a special knack needed?
A specific sound card needed?
A checkbox in RDAdmin I haven’t found?
Any help would be appreciated.
