I was surprised that the RHEL repository seemed to be out of RRDtool:

RRDtool 'make install' puts it here:
/usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.26/lib/perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi
Perl looks for it here (as well as other places):
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thr

RRDtool make is trying to build for TCL. Is it odd the Red Hat EL4 is
missing tcl.h? Do I have to install TCL? It looks like it is somewhat

I'm running mrtg-2.9.2 with rrdtool-1.0.33. In mrtg I set [options] to
growright, bits. It appears however, that rrdtool is storing bytes, not
bits. Do I have to multiply by 8 in rrdtool?
