I am noticing inconsistencies when using a trailing slash on the source
directories in conjunction with the '--delete' option. In one instance
when using a trailing slash files get deleted from subdirectories in the
destination tree. In the other instance they don't. I am using rsync
these after the cutover with tar, rather than the few hours it would take with rsync -- this is making for some angry users. If anyone has a work-around, I'd very much appreciate it.

what exiting *does*, so it *is* a bug in cygwin if it isn't doing the

Bug seems to have been fixed in -current release ( SSH Bug 182 ) not sure
when this will be available/official.
Going to stick to 2.9.9 on the one machine until resolved.

glob(3) on HP/UX 11 always strips a trailing slash from a pathname. This
