To my knowledge there is no Mathematica 9 on Android. There's rumours of
Mathematica being under development on Android, but I have not seen any
official statement of this.

Actually, maybe this should be a thread about the Sage optional
packages. For example, these are there:
java3d-20070901
knoboo-20080411
and obviously they should just be deleted.

Hi,
I built sage-6.1.1 and installed various optional packages, etc.. When I do
./sage -optional
I see
...

database_cremona_ellcurve-20121022
And when I do:
salvus@salvus-base:/usr/local/sage/sage-6.2$ ./sage -i database_cremona_ellcurve
Found local metadata
I just noticed that the version announcement on sage-announce for
6.1/6.1.1 has a dead link to the ticket list.
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/sage-announce/J3-zKIh3Wc4/u4GNq_zCzVcJ
has two links:

Hello
thank you for your answer. Sorry for asking again, I'm not an expert in

I understand I should change the Makefile, introducing the line

Done. This one finished correctly and seems to be working correctly. It
passed "make test" and the error on the singular problem is also gone.
By the way, I am not sure but there seems to be a problem with
"easy_install"
when trying to install sage in a long path. At first, I tried installing
Hi,
A long, long time ago I wrote this sage-location script, which is
meant to be run when you move Sage. It hacks around certain
hard-coded paths, and of course isn't the optimal solution to
anything. But it tends to work. It's 100% designed for binary
distribution of Sage.

Hi all,
I am having recurring issues compiling the developmental version of sage
(through sage-git) on OS X Mavericks. The error I currently have is

The ticket is about *all* power series; although the weird behavior I don't
understand is just for p-adics.

Can someone please give me a hint why the stopgap of that ticket (which
seems about p-adics power series) is triggered by this:
sage: P = PolynomialRing(QQ, 'x')
sage: R = LaurentSeriesRing(QQ, 'X')
sage: R(P(1)/P(1))
The funny thing is it triggers only once per Sage session, so start fresh
