OK, so my log files indicated that mathjax-2.6.1 had been successfully installed, but upon looking at what should have been installed it was clear that the install was not correct. After ./sage -f mathjax and rebuilding the html-docs the math (latex) typsetting is now what it should be.

The html code for plot.html appears to be correct. In places where `(0,1)` is typeset there is \((0,1)\). However at the beginning of plot.html there is All links are good except which is stale (file not found). So the
