In general (not specific to the hermitian (symmetric) property)
exponentiation,
determinate,
elementary matrix operations:
- changing rows(colums)
- multiplication of specific rows(c

Hi,
I wonder what the current situation in SAGE is for dealing with PDE
and methods to solve them numerically, such as say Finite Elements.
A quick search threw this thread (which I'm afraid is not very conclusive):

Hi Georg,
There is currently support for taking the matrix exponential of a
symbolic matrix already in Sage since it is using Maxima in the
background. I suppose that this should be extended to other types of
matrices.
sage: matrix(SR, 3, 3, [[21,17,6],[-5,-1,-6],[4,4,16]]).exp()

Dear Developers,
I would really appreciate it to have matrix exponentiation in sage,
and a class for symmetric (hermitian) matrices would also be useful,
afaik both do not exist yet in sage,
I also believe that this are necessary features to compete with the
big M's, and I read before that it's

Hi all,
I just want to report my experience of late:
SAGE 2.11
OS X 10.4.11 (PowerPC)
Safari 3.1
None of
tab key (completion)
Delete key (backspace) to delete a cell
up- and down-arrow keys to move from cell to cell
function.
I reported these to Apple via the "report a bug" function in Safari.

Dear all,
I've been having some problems with 3D plots in Sage 2.11.
The machine is a dual (64 bit) Xeon with 16GB of RAM, running Fedora
Core 6.

An easy way to make the scrollbar appear without narrowing the window

Maybe it is PPC issue --- I can't duplicate this on OSX.4/Intel with
Firefox 2.0.0.13 and indeed
@ William Stein
Thank you! Very kind of you.

Part of the pr

Hi all,
I has used Python very long time and installed several python
packages, including scipy, numpy, vpython for sciebtific computation.
As general defaulted, they are installed /usr/lib/python2.5/site-
packages in my linux system.
Now I try to install Sage from source. The setup seems to
Same issue with Sage 2.10.3.

I would appreciate any kind of help.
Anyone else working on Mac OS X 10.5.2 Intel with or without this
problem?
