Hey, Andy,
Are you viewing the desktop via Terminal Services? If so you then there is
no icon in the System Tray when Servers Alive is running as a service. I
found that out when I first read the documentation and asked questions on
the this list.
Thanks,

Title: Dr. Watsons
John,
In my opinion Dr Watson is
more trouble than it is worth on a dedicated server. Especially if you have automated tools to recover after an
application/program crash. Just
remove it.

The B channels of the ISDN? If they are down, then the ISDN connection is
actualy not running. So if you would check these via SA, you could get an
alert when they are not down (aka UP).

This is a good point. I did get burned when I first installed the ISDN

I was working on this solution when I got your email. I still had the
problem of the interface appearing up even when not connected - the value

The problem with the secondary address, is that the router will still know
about the ip address and I can't tie the address to only be available when
the ISDN link is up.
The problem is that the ISDN interface (spoofing) appears up but doesn't
connect until it can no longer route packets over the

Jack,
If I understand your problem correctly, the ISDN and T1 interfaces end up at
the same far-side (farthest from the Servers Alive box) IP address. So
pinging that address will be of no value.
Can you add a secondary IP address on the far-side interface you want to

What Security measures does SA use for web page monitoring.
Does is use SSL 2.0 / SSL 3.0 or TLA 1.0
Are the security settings determined by the default web browser settings.
