V5 is limiting them because v5 doesn't work with a v4 code.
You don't need to "import" the hostfile, just OPEN it.

The 1219 is because there is already an active
connection.
A little theory:
IF from system_1, user_1 has an active
connection to system_2, then user_2 can't have an active connection from
system_1 to system_2
=> that's an OS lim

Hi,
I have tried downgrading our installation of SA from version 5 alpha back to
V4 as V5 is limiting the number of hosts we can check but I am getting an
error when I try and import the host file which I think is a backup from the
previous V4 install

Oh, I forgot to mention. I can ping via hostname in SA but not the rest of the checks like hard disk space, service, processes etc.

SAlive) resolved it to.
Perhaps your system still "remember" the old ip.
This could due to system internal cache or the static entry in your system
local host file.

Title: Can only be authenticated via IP only
Hi,
I have this little problem.
In the past, we use IP as the hostname to do the checks. Recently, all our servers has changed their IP address and I have decided to use hostname to do the checks. All the checks went well with all servers with t

Definitely understood Dirk. But, for the exceptions if there is a way
around or a "kludge" that's what I'm looking for. In my case, each
server would only have its instances and no sub groups or anything like
that. What I was trying to do was create an iterative loop for each
