FYI,
I have it working with an external Sportster 14400 fax/modem with the config
as follows:
SMSC no: 018018767
Protocol to use: TAP
Comm settings: 7E1
Baudrate: 9600
Password mnmail
I used to run it OK on WinNT & SP6a and now it runs OK on Win2K Server &
SP3.

Having the same problem. I've worked around it by writing my own script
which dials a Telstra number and submits the message.
