If it interests anyone, I'm no longer working at DMA - a handful of us bailed
before various substances hit fans, and as a result about 15 of us ex-DMA
people have set up a Dundee office of Rage
Hiya Steve - long time no hear!
Hope life's fun at Jester. I left DMA mere hours before the Dundee office was
closed and now do online games for Rage...joy!

Yup, we don't process every object in the entire map because even the single
player game would run like a dog, but we have to remember a certain number of
objects for the game to be even remotely believable.
But it's a problem with the majority of games, and we're never going to please
I'm afraid it's not been worked on for many a month now. Basically, ever since
I started at DMA it's barely been touched - and with the last twelve months
finishing off GTA2, it has never once been looked at.
It still remains one of my ambitions to complete it, and have it published in

Indeed. Sounds good to me.
I still have loose plans that one day I'll resurrect FRED, but I'd need to sort
out a few personal things, as well as get enough support drummed up to ensure
it lasted!
In the meantime though, I don't see any problem with giving permission for say,

Hey Si - what's with the sudden career move?

Well, here we are - over a year and a half after I handed over FRED to my
successor, Mr Darren Wileman. And we are now six months into the reign of the
most recent candidate for the FRED throne, Mr George Boyle.
For various reasons - some of which probably involve me, the combined efforts
