I don't think the SAM-BMP converter is on any of the FRED's on NVG.
There was an IFF converter by Integrated Logic that worked OK - although I
always used to use save the IFF's as Neochrome from the miggy and use the ST
converter.

Perhaps I should make my customary mention of ppmtosam.c and samtoppm.c
in http://users.comlab.ox.ac.uk/ian.collier/Misc/ . Works on Unix - other
systems may vary (and you need something to convert your image into PPM
format).

I think I have found a ILBM converter program on a Fred disk, I haven't tried
it yet. It looks complicated.
