Have you tried to print from the same machine where cups-server runs
without invoking Samba? If it has the same problem - you will need to

I recently discovered some strange behavior when listing a mounted
(windows2k share) directory with over 500 files in it. The 'ls' will
return blank three or four times before returning a list of files.
Mounted directories with fewer files do not have this issue.

particular. At best we are seeing an id name take 5-6secs ... but
averaging around 2 mins
is there a way to tell winbind to start at a particular ou and not look

to the domain, I always get the message "the specified user does not exist".

I had the exact same problem yesterday - which I managed to somehow
correct.
What I think happened was that after I had re-compiled kerberos support
into samba, I forgot to copy the new libnns_winbind.so to the /lib
directory.
Once I had copied the new library, I did a "killall -9 winbindd"
