Have you tried to tunnel those 137-139 and 445 port over SSH?
Here is a guide to that and it works for me using XP SP2, not sure if it
is applicable to your windows server environment.

I´m having problems upgranding from samba samba 2.2.12 + Ldap 2.0 to Samba
3.0.22 + OpenLDAP 2.1.30 (all using Debian Sarge)
I was able to upgrade everything in my H.Q. But in the branch offices, where
I´m using servers as BDCs, the XP clients are not able to logon.

Sorry, if you have recived this message already, but I have problem with
my email service.
Could you tell am I right in case: I am not able to add other
users/groups than unix's user: owner,owner's group and others to
folders/files localized on Samba server, despite doing that as root
Sure does.
Just can't authenticate using a windows box.

stored in CUPS? I've a lot of classes here, and listing printers shared on
my samba server takes some time... where it should list only the printer
queues and not printer queues plus classes.

I haven't linked the libnss_winbind.so correctly for the getent

it´s a common problem and you should really avoid using it, unless you
have a real reason.

I am experiencing a similar problem. My Linux machine (Gentoo) is reporting
this message when mounting the fourth smbfs system. Does not matter which
order I mount in, whatever is the fourth mount refuses to work.
