Now I use samba 2.0.7 for my file server,but I encounter some odd
questions,hope to get your help.
First question,if I creat one new NULL txt file in samba share folder
whose filesystem is FAT,and I open the file in notepad in windows,type some
characters,and save the
group owner, but I couldn't make the SUID bit on directories work,
making files inherit the owner.
please use inherit owner for this to work

the txt file has content,even if one character,there is no the
problem.
I noticed I hadn't compiled in Winbind. So, I removed everything, compiled
with Winbind and all seems ok now. It also appears you don't have to set
the RID of the administrator account.
Would the lack of Winbind explain my problems?
