All works well and all users are mapped etc etc.
Now is the server situated on a remote location.
My question is can it handle domain logons for the remote location or can this

I've just built Samba 3.2.4 on Solaris 10, with ADS support. Domain join
to a Windows 2008 domain works perfectly, having pre-created the
servername in the appropriate OU.
In my winbind logs, I see the following (domain name obfuscated):

I have trouble with the Samba server for RH FC8. I keep getting a message
that nmbd service is dead but pid exists. I have researched and found that
I can delete pid, stop all services and restart but I have tried this with
no luck. TIA for any advice.

A quick Google suggests it's possible. The NTLM module apparently sets a
variable with the username. I would suggest checking the mediawiki
extensions list on the mediawiki site... Someone might already have done
