Perhaps, this issue has already been posted here. However, I have already a
lot of searching on this problem.
I have Fedora Core 8 with samba-client-3.0.33-0.fc8.
As you may know, this client has a timeout of 20,000 milliseconds. I would
like to increase this timeout as it causes numerous prob
We are in an environment where several AD domains are being
consolidated into one larger domain using sidhistory. The samba
winbind configuration is using 'allow trusted domains = no' as we do
not care about what is in the other domains (as well as the problem

Setting "announce version = 4.5" in smb.conf on BDC2 did not change
anything. (The other samba domain still use 4.9 as the default version.)
Windows clients will still connect to BDC2 (if it is running.) On each DC,
net getdomainsid and getlocalsid show that the local sid on each machine is

Alright, I guess I found the issue..I guess Samba is ignoring the files that
has space in between the file names.

Hi folks :-)
I compiled samba (latest stable v3.4.3) on my debian stable, everything seems
ok but when I try to add new samba user ./smbpasswd:
./smbpasswd: symbol lookup error: ./smbpasswd: undefined symbol:
_talloc_get_type_abort
I already checked useful libreries but I don't understand this

I'm trying to use smbclient command within my unix shell script to copy
around 10,000 zip files from unix to a windows fileshare.
For some reason, its not copying them all and after 5000+ files, it throws
out some 0KB files into the file share and exits the process. Do you guys
have any id

And yes, I checked the address and it appears to be correct.
Bugzilla even tells me there is an account with the expected name.
I have script output that shows my problem with smbclient du.
I can send that to
