Happened to be tail'ing .log during a login session from XP
client and notice the PANIC in the output. Login proceeded as usual(?)
so the following snippet of the log is just informational to the
developers. Let me know if you need additional info.

Volker, yes this "trick" worked for the current problems but agreed that
it is not a long term solution to the "locking" problem.

I'm not sure this is possible, I'm sort of leaning to the negative, but I
thought i would ask anyway. (I am not a windows or domain networking guy)

i'm facing some problem of integration with LDAP on the release in object.
In my scenario i want to use Samba + LDAP to have all servers on the network

I had this myself and it turned out that this was caused (in my case)

Hello,
on our servers we have shares with no authentication required (no DC,
security = share, guest ok = yes).
Worked fine for years, but now with Samba 3.5.4, when I enable smb2,
Windows 7 clients can not connect anymore to these shares.
Looking at the logs, I can see :

Hi there.
We've had a Samba (version 3.3) server acting as a primary domain

nice and dandy there.
Samba is running on a FreeBSD 8 machine...
I would like to migrate this service to a newly acquired Mac mini

Your running with ldap?
Did you made a group mapping. You do not need that with samba/ldap.
Besides the two sids and group mangeling.
Can you make a directrory on your linux-box and a chown user:"Domain Group"
without error? Then the rights are ok.
With Office 2007,
I had a similar problem. I solve
