Hi all,
I have a problem that started last week with winbind on a member
server. The network consists of the following:
Openldap/Bind/DHCP Server (No Samba)
PDC - CentOS Linux - Samba 3-3.5.6-43.el5 (sernet package)
BDC - CentOS Linux - Samba 3-3.0.31-36

Hi List,
I've just updated from Samba 3.0.33 to 3.5.6 on my Centos 5.5 PDC and am
having problems accessing home directories.
To allow a backout option I set up a new server, put 3.0.33 on it,

Try changing "force group = foobar" to "force group = DOMAIN\foobar" .
The way Samba handles groups was changed (it was in the release notes

can bridge the NICs onto a single IP and use a central
Hi all,
I have an HP Proliant 115 (Dual Core Opteron) server with 4GB of RAM set
up as a PDC with an identical machine acting as BDC. The PDC has an LDAP
backend and I'm planning to add an LDAP slave on the BDC. Both are running
Redhat EL5 with Samba 3.0.28.
The problem I have though is t
Hi All,
I've found a script for migrating posix accounts to LDAP but does anyone know

Hi all,
I ran a Samba/LDAP setup for 750 users a while back and the whole plot worked
brilliantly until one day, users received a message along the lines of "Your
password will expire in 14 days". No matter how often people changed their
passwords, they still got the message. 14 days later ever
