I have a couple of applications on a WinXP/SP2 system that use data files
on a Samba (v2.2.12, on Linux) shared drive. Immediately after booting
the WinXP system these data files cannot be seen, yet
Well, the programs that start automatically and use the data files on the
share are not in the Startup folder. So they're started via the
registry, but are run on a user-specific basis.
Are you on Windows XP? How do you start something before a user is logged
in by registry?
