I am a Samba newbie who has just set up a Samba server running under
Fedora Core 3 and a client running under Win 98.
When I log in, I get the message:
No domain server was available to validate your password. You
may not be able to gain access to some network resources.
Also,
You are right, I am using "security = domain" at the
PDC, isn't it suppose to be?
security = domain means, that your samba looks for an password server in
this domain and uses this authentication.
the password server is written in "password server ="
so samba could not find the password server
How is your dns setup? do you have a local dns or wins running on your
server ?
