From what I understand, Jeremy says you should downgrade to 3.3.6 to
restore the behavior you want.

Try

That changes service user to session user.

Patrick,
just came across that problem in my installation. This is a limitation
in the vfs recycle module that has been addressen in samba 3.0.14a by
introducing the directory_mode parameter to the recycle module.
Your manual fix ( changing access rights ) does only work because you

Hi all.
Just noticed something about my VFS recycle options.
When I delete a file it maintains the old date. i.e file was last modified
on 8th oct that's the date it keeps on the file, rather than overwriting it
with a new date, i.e the date it was deleted.
My config is;

Hi,
configured samba to handle the deletded files in the recycle directory.
My problem : for some users the deleted files go into the specified
directory for other the files are just deleted and no put in the
recycle directory.
Does someone already had this problem ?
My configuration
Strange thing : my .corbeille folder had the following rights
drwx--S--- 2 patrick.dubau INFORMATIQUE 4096 2005-09-29 11:00
.corbeille
With these rights only patrick.dubau deleted files are put in
.corbeille
I changed the rights to drwxrws--- 2 patrick.dubau INFORMATIQUE
Hello
I'm testing the VFS recycle stuff on a 3.0.14a-Debian (Debian Sarge,

Hello,
I'm running samba 3.0.1 on RHEL ES3.0 and I'm trying to use the recycle vfs
module.
The samba share has been expanded with symlinks and the recycle module seems
to have problems with this.
Below you can see logging from debug level 3.
Is there a way to workaround this?

hi,
I'm running Samba v2.2.7a and it works fine. I noticed however that
I can no longer set the recycle bin directory with an absolute path.
It only accepts relative paths.
What I want is to use a 'global' recycle bin. One for all shares.
Thanks,
j.
