script (or whatever mechanism you use to change the unix password) is broken
then password change can fail

Now I know the problem occurs just when the window client is windows
2003 with sp1 and samba 3.0.10. Samba >=3.0.14 has fixed this problem,
so updating the samba is the right solution.

Now the users can logon to the domain on windows client machine, but
when they press Ctrl+Alt+Del to change their domain password, the

If you're using ldap backend, just tell your add user script to set
sambaPwdMustChange attribute less than current time.

In tdbsam you have know a lot of more options.. but I don't recall to
see that option in creation time with tdbsam.

I've god a member server that is going to host some userscripting, one
feature which will be to run the smbpasswd -a command automatically. My
question is what config options do I need to configure for this machine
to be able to change passwords and such? I've only had to do this on
