autumn I can finally announce that a version of the TWAIN SANE Interface
for MacOS X 10.7 Lion is available for download at:

No. Parts of the epkowa is released binary only for linux - it can't be

Hi!
There is a patch attached to this bugreport:
https://alioth.debian.org/tracker/?func=detail&aid=301377&group_id=30186&atid=410366
This patch allows you to configure saned to use a specific port range
for its data connections. I don't know if this is exactly what you are
looking for.

Hi!
The ppc and i386 versions are compiled from the same sources. In some
occasions there have been issues due to the different endianess of the
two families of processors, but then usually the i386 version works and
the ppc version fails, since the i386 version has had extensive testing
in linux.

The SANE_SG_BUFFERSIZE variable only works for the scsi general (SG)
driver on linux. It is not applicable to other platforms.

Hi!
I have created a page with a summary of known problems on MacOS X.
http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/patches.html
Patches (so far untested) are available for some of the problems. If
some of the patches solve the problems you have, please let me know.

Hi!
I have been trying to solve a problem for a user with a Microtek 3600
scanner on a Mac. The first error log he sent me looked like a libusb
problem, and after looking through the libusb code I was able patch
libusb to handle a change of usb configuration without loosing the claim
of the in

Which is libusb 0.1.7 ( since 4 + 3 + 0 = 7 )

The status of the bug report is "Pending", so hopefully the patch should
go into CVS soon.

Hi!
I have made a new binary package for MacOS X from a fresh CVS checkout
and with a new version of the pthread_cancel workaround patch. The new
version of the patch mimics the behaviour of the original code very
closely (but without calling pthred_cancel) and does not change the
stucture of

Here I must strongly disagree. A working test backend is extremely
essential. It is a very important tool in debugging.
If a frontend works with the test backend

* sane-backends 1.0.13 (patched), libusb 0.1.8 beta (2004-01-05)
and gettext 0.11.5.
* maciconv 1.0 (for the 10.1 and 10.2 builds only)
The packages are available on http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/

Hi!
I have updated the binary packages on http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/
to version 1.0.13. Since I now use the cross-compilation SDKs that came
with MacOS X 10.3, I have been able to create packages for Mac OS X
10.1, 10.2 and 10.3. I have only tested the 10.3 package myself, but if
I do ot
