Something to watch for early next year! "The Green Pastures" is a
retelling of Old Testament stories. Years ago I saw a very old movie
with an all-Black cast that was a retelling of Moses leading the
Israelites out of Egypt. I wonder, was that a segment from this movie or

Well, I'm okay with silly fun. But it takes some skill to make good
stupid silly fun. Rush Hour is NOT as bad as Deuce Bigelow. Rush Hour at
least was entertaining, the Deuce Bigelow films are puerile, infantile,
gross-out, and not even close to original, even by low brow standards.

Just to pop in here.
The folks who use "God said it," etc don't usually say it in a
bellicose manner. The way they say it is being misunderstood and
misrepresented in this. The same goes for "reason being the enemy of
faith." Am not going to attempt to describe the real meaning of faith

I'm enjoying Surface quite a bit. It is a bit slow at times but the

Hopefully they'll pick up the pace a bit but I like the show so far.

As my divorce lawyer reminded me, after a particularly nasty court
session where the opposing attorney flat-out lied about things I
hadn't done, "Everyone has a right to be an asshole."
So too does Hollywood and the film industry.
And as DefSec Rummy once said, "... freedom is sometimes messy."
My take...
Anyone who didn't see the movie in theatres, big mistake, but the DVD is worth
snapping up immediately. Christian Bale is great as a young Bruce Wayne. He
strikes the perfect balance of a man driven to the edge by loss, but holding on
to nobility. There's an interesting and welcome ch
