I wholeheartedly agree. Jean Grey is one of my favorite X-Men, and wow did
they do her character in. O_O
I gotta say tho, fab job casting Patrick Stewart as Prof X. I had been
waiting for that since early days of high school and PRAYED for it. :D

Gambit would be cool, but please-oh-please, can we get an actor with a real
accent?
Longshot would be awesome too, if done right, and i'd enjoy seeing Dazzler
turning all the sound around her into laser beams and light bursts.

True.
You know, i enjoyed and enjoy the X-Men flicks, but as time goes on I like them
less. It's not that they're bad, it's just that stuff like the treatment of
Rogue and Ice Man bothers me. It's Halle Berry as a really bad Storm (accent
gone, powers mostly weak, shoulda used Angela Bassett).

You think fans are waiting for Jubilee, Psylocke, and Bishop? Intriguing
choices. Psylocke done right--once she's been transferred into the Asian body
and is basically a kickass ninja psi--would be awesome.

Agreed. I'm a fan of the main characters, and when they decide to do this
sort of thing, they lose me and the rest of the audience.

That end scene of the original is just the best. I think that
film's ending was the moment I knew I loved science fiction film. I
love me some Tim Burton, but nobody BUT Tim Roth showed up for work
on the Planet of the Apes remake. If "Entourage" is about Mark

I've been saying all week since this story broke that Fox is over

that "apes, science fiction is apes, the people want apes..." jazz.
All anybody wants is to see Jubilee, then move on to Psylocke and

Speaking personally, i'm rarely a fan of "Young Whatever" superhero stories
when more can be done with the adults. And I never glommed on to the decision
to make Rogue, Ice Man, Pyro, and some others into young teens. That was a
stupid move to me, for all that I like Anna Pacquin...

That could be fun. i still love the original movie, which is never boring. Love
the spaceship, the look on Heston's face when the gorilla's are first revealed,
the classic moment when a captured Heston yells "Got your hands off me you damn
dirty apes!". And of course ,the last scene, the reveal
I debated going to see it, though as Martin and i discussed, I'm tiring of the
young handsome vampyr and his mortal love theme. But not having read the books,
I was unsure. Then i read a few reviews, such as Roger Ebert's, which was
titled "Young girls and their mothers will love vapid 'Twilight
Well put, that's what i heard. The first film used a lot of what was starting
to become considered old fashioned stunt work: real people doing real stunts,
minimal CGI. Indeed, that was one of the things that Spielberg at least prided
himself on. But i hear this last film uses more of the CGI in
I like Law and Order okay, but it never keeps me engaged, i guess because it
does rely on guest stars, but i never really get to know the principals like i
want. Great actors, engaging plots, and as you said, sometimes fantastic guest
stars. But I always feel a bit short changed, since I don't g

Hi All,
So I find myself in a predicament. On Halloween, I was involved in an author
chat, when one thing led to another, and a new WIP was born. WIPs are good,
right? Well this one is dark, paranormal, and quite certainly headed in the
direction of a complicated romance. I'm enjoying writing
Daryle, I think I've said before that star turns on shows like this are bad for
them, because first-time or occasional fans who tune in are likely to expect
certain things of the show, only to find them lacking when the show returns to
its regular format.

A friend of mine told me that it missed something he called "The Millenium
Falcon Effect"...
All genre work (mainly sci-fi) must visually look dirty..and real like the
Falcon or the desired emotion will not be accomplished.
Indy was the best example of thisuntil now
