And it's *much better*, IMO.

Funny, I love Civil War and the news -type Frontline series that runs with
it. Annihilation is interesting, but I'm not in love with it.

It's the writing. Keith GIffen, most famed for his comic take on Justice
League back in the 80s, handled the entire series, including all of the
offshoots with Super Skrull, Silver Surfer, Ronan the Accuser and Nova. I like
the cosmic-scoped stories, and this more than qualifies for me. While
I've been buying the Annihilation series and its ancillary titles. I enjoyed

it just hasn't captivated me the way Civil War has. I'm really liking the

I've picked it up since, I've seen that they still have that sentient armor in

Iron Man, part of a miniseries arc involving some sort of secret battle or some
such. THe armor *seemed* sentient, but I didn't pay it much mind, because the
story left me cold.

no way. You haven't been reading Civil War? It's about to
conclude! This is the best thing to happen to Marvel in years.
And...there were shipping issues after #4 so now's a great time
to catch up.

I'm trying to think of who this might be, the char he's due to portray, whether
he's in continuity anywhere. Obadiah Stane, maybe? He might like that role,
because Stane ends up a bad egg.

Maybe he'll take the place of Happy Hogan as Stark's confidante and
right-hand man, and fill the mentor role Hollywood loves to create for heroes?
