[sdre-l]: Spokane show

1999-03-04 Thread jeff jones
Hey All! WWOOOW My fifth time to see Sunny Day and they just keep getting better! Last night was just amazing. First off they had a radio interview and did an acoustic performance of Guitar and video games, which by the way was flawless. The station was 105.7 the peak. I got a

I know that Jeremy played running to stand still by U2 at one of his solo shows. What would they cover well??? HU2 once again is a good bet. No exampls at this time. Jeff >Hello folks. > >To the cancer: refer below. > >Besides that... >I am just curious if

Re: [sdre-l]: j'nuh

1999-03-12 Thread jeff jones
j'nuh...the title of the song is named for that one guitar riff. But like a lot sunny day titles, it has little to do with the lyrical content. Listen closely to the lyrics and the stuffed monkey thing starts to make a little more sense. Thankyou for the relavent posts.

Right on Ben!!! Just a reality check for all those who don't know the way that the record industry works. There ARE NOT, contrary to popular belief, record company thugs that hang out in studios with guns and chain saws insisting that a band plays a certain way. All the companies really ask

[sdre-l]: The latest on Fame

1999-04-14 Thread jeff jones
Record companies will always say the the latest album is the greatest album! They're in the business of sales and money! Why would they trash their own product?? I think Adore is a good album. Not a Siamese Dream, but a respectable production. Bands change. We'd all be pretty sick of Sunny Day

Hey all! For all those going to the show tonight, I'm foaming at the mouth with jealousy! Due to circumcisions beyond my control I can't go. I'm sure I speak for everyone in my situation when I say WE WANT A FULL AND DETAILED REPORT!!! SHOW...DON'T TELL. DONT say it was cool...Tell us how it wa

If I remember right I read it the rocket that Jeremy lost his falseto and still doesn't have it. I'd like to believe that, but damn, If thats the truth jeremys got a hell of a high voice. You'd never expect him to hit those notes when you talk to him. Jeff >From: "WA

[sdre-l]: Vox AC-30

1999-07-14 Thread jeff jones
I went to the VOX website and looked at the AC-30 that Jeremy uses and noticed that it three channels. I've played around on one before and noticed that the channels have volume but not a seperate gain knob. That would make it really hard to get a good distorted sound without using a seperate

Replikants...wow...VERY strange. I cant emphasize that statement enough. Sounds like Will on the drums. But DO NOT expect a SDRE or Foos kinda band. You can hear little clips of Real Audio at www.wherehousemusic.com Prepare for a shock Jeff >From: "Miette 31" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To:

Re: [sdre-l]: dan and a solo record

1999-07-21 Thread jeff jones
I'd have to agree about Dans voice. It's just not made to be the central point of music. He's a kick ass guitar player, and he has a great way of making the crowd feel good at a show. But hes not a lead singer. ya know who has a good voice is Joe Bass. Listen to one of there live perfromances o

Re: [sdre-l]: Let's all underestimate Dan Hoerner.

1999-07-21 Thread jeff jones
If Dan wanted to pull off a solo album, more power to him. I made my comment about Dans based on what I've heard on records and at shows. Then again I've never heard anything where Dans voice was at the fore front. I don't underestimate Dan. Hes accomplished much more as a musician than I have

JustinBRAVO!!! Quality answer, great n.p. Well I'm gonna offer my opinion. I've been sitting silently and observing this thread and I'm gonna make my peace and be quiet. What make Sunny Day more respectable than these numerous pop stars that have poped up? THEY WRITE THEIR OWN MUSIC!!!
