I want to have James 2.2.0 start in the boot.local on suse91.
I put the JAVA_HOME setting in the phoenix.sh and it starts but the boot
process halts. If I hit [ctrl-c] to stop James and the boot process
continues.
I guess the simple question is: can James run as a daemon?

I'm writing a custom mailet and put the jar into the james.sar's lib
folder. The custom mailet has a dependency on another jar. Initially,
I forgot to include the dependency jar file. It took me 5 hours to
figure this out, since when james runs, from the console, it does not

Hi, reading http://james.apache.org/rfclist/nntp/rfc2980.txt it seems
that Newsgroups can add a short description so when you ask for the list
of newsgroups you receive the descriptions too.
Is this implemented in James? I haven't found how to add a description
to newsgroups.
Thanks in advance
Is there any update to RFC-1036 about NNTP Articles format?
I am doing some test with different NNTP Clients: OutLook Express 6,
Mozilla 1.7.3 and ThunderBird 0.9 and Microsoft doesn't follow the
standards in 50% of header's fields. :-( so I thought perhaps there is
an update but I am not ab
