The threaded hole was from the balance shaft housing, one of the retaining bolts. The 1/4" hardened bolt is a slight press fit, I would say snug but not too hard. A cheap bolt will be a loose fit so use a quality fastener, seems to make a difference. No pan clearance issues, works great. Cli
