Hi Steve, The first thing I would try before replacing the compressor, etc. is adding a few ounces of R-12 oil to the system. It may be all that it needs. It comes in a small can with R-12 as a propellant and you add it to the low pressure side just the same as R-12. Regards, Ed Mazurek
