I'm sorry Tom but i thought at the
customer and the clubmaker was looking for a flat faced drver. I do not
remember reading that "HE" the customer wanted an OEM driver, I thought that he
wanted a driver head, "ANY DRIVER HEAD" OEM NON OEM, as
long as it had a flat face.

I can’t possibly measure all of the
heads that are out there so I am sure that there are some more like you say
with the 14” x 14” – my comments were in regard to the major
OEM’s drivers from what I have been able to measure over the years of looking
at them.

Actually this discussion has made me think
about bugle and roll a lot more than I have and for that I’m grateful.
I'm sure in my pelz putting book (loaned to a worse putter than i) he had a laser device you attached to your putter to ensure you were aiming the putter where you wanted to go.
personally i just use the hit and hope method.
