Just an idea: I have seen irons with the shaft bonded to a pin that goes
INSIDE the shaft. Many putters use this type of connection.Considering that
the amount of stress on a gap wedge isn't likely to be great (and despite the
fact that modern iron shafts are both designed and intended to go I

Hey gang,
Are these shafts just standard .355 tapers that are blind-bore?
Thanks!

I have seen quite a few bent shafts RIGHT AT the hosel on older PING irons
due to the hardness of the head (17-4).
I would be really concerned that a split shaft would present a serious
danger of breakage and the head flying off which would be a liability.
I think you're better off just finding a
I have an extra one I ordered from John several years ago and never
used. It has storage and handling marks from sliding around in a
drawer. I'm selling it shipped CONUS for $14.00 if anyone wants it.

Yep, from a friend's Mizuno MX-23's, so undoubtedly they're soft stepped.
I measured the tip to first step to derive the shaft needed. I'll
probably just call Leaderboard tomorrow, thanks!

Tom, I am planning on selling these shafts. The fact that the tip
section is a full inch shorter then what I find on True Temper's
website is what's concerning me. The shafts do fit properly into
tapered hosel heads, nice and snug, and there is no evidence that
someone tipped these shafts, just p
I have had a set of shafts here at the house for awhile. I believe they are
Mizuno taper-tip pullouts. I am preparing to list them on Ebay and noticed
that the measurements do not match those on the True Temper website.
For example, I have a shaft marked "SNDGIX1-9 37.00" which correctly IDs the
Google "First Strike Copperhead". Might be the ones he's looking for.

Depending on the type of plastic, it may not melt very quickly. I did get a
plug out of a Cleveland 460 head that way. It took quite a while for the
acetone to work the plug down to the point where I could get it part way out
the hole and grab it with a pair of long needle nose pliers. In a p
I assume China, but was told that these might be an Endo or similar Japan

Anyone run into this? I recently did a test install of a .350 SL x100 in a
driver, and a .335 SL X100 in a 3-wood. Both shafts were tipped per TT
instructions. The driver came out to 244cpm with a grip at 44", and the 3-wood
was 248 (grip on) at 42.75". Yikes.
I guess it's not a good choice

Oh, BTW; forgot to mention that the 276 cpm "R" was a Grafalloy Blue.
I used to have a Titleist 975D a few years ago; I stuck a Blue R flex in
it. Played like an X!
