Make sure, you have Jython ready as mentioned on the download page.
You are trying to run the script as JavaScript, which is still
experimental.

I have only created a folder on my desktop and added the sikulixide-2.0.4.jar
in it and also the sikulixapi-2.0.4.jar (although this was possibly not
necessary for the purpose of running the IDE). After I ran the
sikulixide-2.0.4.jar and It directed me to a page telling me to get
jython-standal

If you want to simply run scripts in the IDE, the only sikulixidejar
and the Jython jar are needed.
If the Jython jar once is moved to the extensions folder, everything
should work.
Delete the script that you first used (the .sikuli folder should contain
a file js).
