Actually, the Australian Government aren't stupid.
In around 2000 they had $800 million marked for local investment in
tech companies.
What happened was that they couldn't find a way to "allocate" it. So the
funds were moved to Singapore. They are being used there - perpahps
to this day.
Actuall
We have outgrown our initial office space on Boundary Street and are moving
out.
This is a great space – 78m2 for up to 10 people, polished concrete floors,
separate kitchen and storage area. Very cool converted warehouse building
with lots of marketing/ media/ online tenants, café on the
David Kempe from Solutions First (www.solutionsfirst.com) is brilliant
when you need advanced ad-hoc Linux support but don't want to hire a
full time admin. Have used them several times for some fairly tricky
projects. Can definitely reccomend.
