Can someone point me to a health insurance company in the USA?
I need to talk to them about coverage for pre-existing conditions.

I'm with Kaiser Pemanente and they've been great.
Cant say from personal experience but I've heard they're one of the best when I
comes to pre-existing conditions and preventative health care.

I was always curious what someone from a land of socialised health care
thought of Kaiser. They are pretty much singularly responsible for the
huge mess that is US health care, profit through efficiency in the
reduction of care.

If you've got two employees who've had payroll for more than 6 weeks you can
get a group policy, which can include dependents. My understanding is that
pre-existing conditions/medicals don't matter in a group situation - they're

Crap thats complex. Can someone update the wiki with a emotionless summary
of that? :)
Breaking it down to tips for singles, married/family, self-employed, etc
would be great.
Some questions ...
- Can I jump on a company's plan if I am not employed by them (i.e. a
friend's company).
- Is a HSA
- No, they need payroll records and you need to be registered with the
authorities as an employee
- There are stringent rules against *creating* groups just for the purpose
of health insurance. It has to be an employment relationship.
