I was always curious what someone from a land of socialised health care
thought of Kaiser. They are pretty much singularly responsible for the
huge mess that is US health care, profit through efficiency in the
reduction of care.

From my personal experience, they can be great in the fact that
everything is under one roof, so that is convenient. However, they don't
tend to have a very personal touch: "Hello patient 400-4325-109-324-2
what seems to be the problem?"

Also, they are in the business of making money. To have one company
control your insurance and your doctor... want a second opinion? See
another one of their doctors! It makes me uncomfortable, anecdotal
horror stories aside.
