Not being in IT or in Linux or in FOSS, I too got to know him more
indirectlythrough his staunch support of wildlife photography (and at
least one wildlife photographer.) I got to know him better after he'd
"mellowed down". So my interaction with him was very pleasantI found a
lot to be imp
I got to know him over the past two years... no conflicts, so I have
very fond memories of him. He came across as a real gentleman to me,
in the best sense of the word. It's remarkable how he handled his
illness. I wish he didn't have to go so soon and had suffered less.
I'll miss him.
