It definatly can generate some heat. I have never felt anything uncomfortable with diluting the DMSO with CS down to 10% DMSO : 90% CS. You will get a very large amount of DMSOs benefits from this concentration. If you have real sore muscles or a sprain or pull that needs the heat, mix it

DMSO is Dimethyl sulfoxide. It is a solvent that is capable of transporting ingredients applied to the skin to the bloodstream, nearly as quickly as an IV. You can find it at your local feed store in a liquid, gel, or roll on and it's cheap, say $6 for a pint of liquid, which will go a long ways.
