Interesting note on the distillers. I had a vacuem distillation unit

A good transformer should not hum enough to be annoying. If it does ,then it
is of poor quality. That means the iron laminations are too loose and they

If your supplier is close, get them to plug in and try them until you get one

Yes -- I agree -- it's pretty high all over the US. But it's pretty amazing
that you personally know four people who have it. So can you please tell me
what part of the country you're in? For one thing, it's an area I'd probably
like to avoid. Second, I had a tick episode myself some time ag

You can get counter top reverse osmosis water filters on eBay for around
100.00, I've found a couple for less than that, and these filter

The quality of rain water depends on where you live and how long it has
rained.
Rain water IS distilled water, but the air container it's in can be quite
dirty.
Rain does tend to rinse it though.

Those that say yellow is best just don't know how to make CS that isn't yellow.
Some commercial CS makers actually add coloring to fit the myth.

Logical distiller tips [not from experience]
1] use as pure a source water as possible as water isn't the only thing in
water that can be distilled
ie...use a charcoal filter to absorb most gases and volatiles and/ or
reverse osmosis.
2] Don't fill the water chamber all the way up and if it
It actually comes with a bottle of Eucalyptus oil...but oil goes to the
top and the water feeds into the sonic mist maker from the bottom.
Oils don't work very well and you have to clean everything up. [I'd not do
it again]

Thanks for that tip, David. that's one reason I'm not that crazy about those
charcoal filters, ya never know if they're really doing their job. It seems
to be the exact distiller as the one for $99... I saw that as well... paying
double is quite normal, but then I'd have to use a transformer for th
