Does anyone have a source to buy the kelp in bulk like Brooks does? I ordered
the smaller quantity thru a supplier but would love to have bulk so I can share
with our other farm animals.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for such a detailed description of the diet your feeding your
multitude of dogs. We do not yet have a dog but will have one soon. That
being said I too would like to feed it a raw diet. Can you clarify something

Thanks Cyndi, the more I learn the better I'll be able to provide a balanced
raw diet. I'm not worried about the chicken part of it as I raise chickens
in the backyard. Actually, I would even consider raising chicks for a bite

It would work for cats but it's not needed for dogs.

freeze. Is this correct? And should I keep the bottle
Raw feeding requires a lot of care and is often done poorly.
Puppies are susceptible to imbalance because their needs
are higher and they are growing so fast. Rickets does occur
in raw fed puppies with irreversible consequences when the
full range of nutrients is not provided in balance.

Some electric meat grinders are capable of grinding the bones with the chicken

It is also true that the diet doesn't have to be balanced every day - over the
week is fine. Personally, I feed my dog ground meat as he won't eat the 'prey'
type or bones, except chicken wings, and I can't bear to look at it anyway. He
also has raw egg, sardines and seaweed supplements. He
Thanks Dan -- that's exactly what I was remembering. I appreciate your taking
